50 Years of Serving Toledo Bend!
Bass Fishing on Toledo Bend is ON FIRE!
Toledo Bend is on a historic start for 2023. Five lunkers, weighing 10.9, 10.17, 11.78, 10.28, and 10.09 pounds were caught 1n January!
In February things really took off. On February 4th at the MLF BFL Tournament, 5 lunkers were weighed in. We have no record of ever weighing 5 lunkers in one day or in any one tournament. Those fish weighed in at 10.56, 12.63, 13.38, 11.0, and 10.81 lbs. The first place stringer weighed 39.93 lbs, and included the 13.38 fish. The second place stringer was 31.88 lbs and included the 12.63 fish. Cody Pitt caught a lunker on January 27th as well as the 13.38 lb fish on February 4th and the winning stringer in the BFL Tournament. There were 4 stringers over 20 pounds that were weighed in at the BFL.
In the early morning on February 11th a 10.11 lunker was weighed in, and then 3 more lunkers were weighed in at the Bass Champs Tournament. Those three lunkers weighed 11.58, 10.12, and 15.67 lbs. The 15.67 lb fish is a new Lake Record and was caught by Bill Cook of Houston. One of the lunkers from the previous week was caught by Bill's co-angler in the BFL Tournament.
There were 21 stringers of more than 20 lbs weighed in at the Bass Champs Tournament. The first and second place stringers both weighed over 28 lbs.
On Sunday February 12, Cody Pitt caught the winning stringer that weighed 42.36 pounds and included another Lunker weighing 11.79 pounds In the Game Changer Outdoor Tournament. This 31 boat tournament also had a 35.5 pound stringer weighed in and 5 total stringers over 20 pounds.
In the last two weeks we have had 10 lunkers weighed in plus the 5 caught In January including the new Lake Record of 15.67 pounds and there were large stringers of 42.36, 39.93, 35.5, and 31.88 pounds and 30 total stringers in excess of 20 pounds.
TO SAY THAT LAKE IS ON FIRE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
TOLEDO BEND was named the #1 BASS LAKE IN 2015 & 2016 by Bassmaster magazine, being the first fishery in the nation to be chosen America's top bass fishing destination in consecutive years.
