Glynn Carver and Scholarships

The Toledo Bend Lake Association has established a memorial scholarship fund to honor Glynn Carver for his life, his achievements, and his unequaled impact on Toledo Bend and the surrounding communities. Glynn’s vision and leadership were instrumental in the development of Toledo Bend and to the benefit of the Lake, its residents, businesses, and its infinite number of visitors over the first fifty years of the Lake’s history. Glynn’s contributions to the Lake area will continue to be impactful into the future. Glynn believed in education and benefited greatly from his own scholastic achievements.

The Glynn Carver Memorial Scholarship Fund will honor and memorialize Glynn and inspire future students to carry on his legacy to the Toledo Bend community, and beyond.

Scholarship Administration and Funding

The scholarship is administered and funded* by TBLA. The Scholarship will be in the amount of $3000.00 at a minimum. Private donations are also made to the Scholarship Fund from year to year. The Scholarship may be increased to more than the base $3,000 amount, depending on donations received or by additional funding approved by the TBLA Board of Directors. Last year we actually awarded $6000.00 dollars for the Glynn Carver Memorial Scholarship and awarded two TBLA Scholarships, one for $3000.00 and one for $1000.00 to applicants for the Glynn Carver Memorial Scholarship based on additional contributions to the Fund.
